Average search position
Where your pages rank in the Google results, as Search Console reports it. Fond averages it over the range and weights it by impressions. 1 is the top result, so lower is better.
Average search position comes from Google Search Console. It tells you how high your site appears in the Google results for a search term or a page.
How Fond computes it
Search Console reports a position for each day, and Fond keeps every day that it syncs. For a date range, Fond weights the position of each day by the impressions of that day. The result is the position that the average impression saw.
1 is the top result, so Fond shows a move from 12 to 8 as a positive change.
How it differs from average answer position
