AI visibility
The share of AI answers to your tracked queries that mention your brand. Fond pools the answers across every assistant and repeat. It leaves out the answers that failed.
AI visibility is the main number on the Visibility page. It is the share of AI answers to your tracked queries that mentioned you, also called the mention rate.
How Fond computes it
Fond divides the answers that mention your brand by all the answers, pooled across every assistant and repeat. Errored answers are in neither count, because a failed request is not an answer that ignored you.
For example, a run asks 4 assistants 20 queries, twice each, for 160 answers. If 4 fail, and 39 of the other 156 mention you, AI visibility is 25%.
The figure for each assistant, or for one query, is the same rate over its own answers. So the overall figure is the average of the assistants, weighted by answers.
How it differs from related terms
- Organic visibility is the same rate over only the queries that did not name you, so it is usually lower.
- Share of voice counts queries, not answers, split by query tier. A query counts once if any answer to it mentioned you.
- The Rate column on the competitors leaderboard also counts queries. It is the share of queries where a brand appeared at least once.
